The roaster partnered with 600 Smallholder Producers to bring Ethiopia Hamasho Honey from Hamasho Station in the Bensa area of Sidama. This washed lot draws from a network of farmers around the hamlet and features the 74158 variety grown at high elevation. Hamasho Station sits in a region shaped by a mix of rain and sun that helps the cherries mature slowly and produce dense beans. Enjoy Coffee Roasters sourced this lot through The Coffee Quest, and roasted it light to preserve its lively aromatics and clarity. The roaster describes the cup as floral and fruit forward. Expect orange blossom and citrus on the nose, with honeydew and nectarine providing juicy sweetness in the cup. The honey style note is part of the coffee’s character even though the base processing is washed, creating a balance of brightness, sweetness, and depth that remains easy to drink. With generous fragrance and a clean finish, this coffee invites early mornings and late afternoon cuppings alike. Its high altitude terroir and careful processing yield a cup that is approachable yet nuanced, ideal for curious home brewers exploring Ethiopian coffees.
