Ngugu-ini is a washed Kenyan coffee grown in Kirinyaga County by about 1200 smallholder farmers and processed at the Ngugu-ini washing station, part of the Kibirigwi Farmers Cooperative Society. This coffee features the SL28 and SL34 varietals, cultivated at elevations ranging from 1650 to 1812 meters. The roaster has chosen a light roast to accentuate its bright, fruit-forward profile. In the cup, it tastes like tart red currant and juicy plum, with notes of black cherry and red wine, offering a lively yet balanced body.
