George Howell Coffee partnered with Katibah Jafar to bring Hejrat Al Ain from Yemen to curious home brewers. This lot comes from 500 trees perched on terraced slopes in Hayma Dakhiliya and is processed using a natural method. Harvest runs from March to April 2025, and the lot is offered as a limited roast to honor the fruit forward profile of this high altitude terroir. It tastes like cherry blossom, vanilla, and ripe mango, with a gentle sweetness and a clean, bright acidity. The roaster describes the taste as fruit forward and balanced, translating the fruit aromatics of the natural process into approachable flavors. The elevation at 7,545 feet and Yemen's terroir contribute to a crisp, expressive finish, and Katibah Jafar's careful farming shines through in every cup.
