Hydrangea partnered with Finca Auromar to bring Gesha Flower Touch from Volcan, Chiriqui in Panama. Produced by Roberto Brenes at Finca Auromar, this coffee grows at 1900 masl and is processed through a two stage fermentation: two days of cold natural fermentation at 16 C, followed by three days of washed fermentation at 16 C. This approach highlights the region's high altitude sweetness and the delicate Gesha profile, revealing the terroir of Volcan. It tastes like orange blossom, citrus, and plum. It might remind you of a bright citrus fruit with a subtle stone fruit sweetness and a clean, balanced acidity. These elements reflect the careful fermentation and the Gesha varietal's perfume, offering a nuanced cup that rewards a thoughtful grind and brew.
