Vivid Coffee features a high-elevation Alo Coffee lot from Bona Zuria in Sidama, led by producer Tamiru Tadesse. Perched around 2,280 to 2,380 meters, this site was developed to spotlight competition-level coffees from Bensa with meticulous cherry selection and slow, careful drying. Alo works multiple processing styles at Bona Zuria. This release is the natural expression, chosen to show how the altitude and cool nights concentrate sweetness while keeping the profile lifted and precise.
Processing shapes the cup. Ripe cherries are hand sorted, then dried whole on raised beds with steady airflow and frequent turning. Natural processing tends to amplify fruit and perfume while a disciplined dry keeps the structure clean. With local selections like 74158 among Ethiopia’s heirloom varieties at these elevations, you can expect detail and aromatic clarity to shine.
The roaster describes the taste as tangerine, thimbleberry, and orange blossom. In the cup, it tastes like citrus-forward sweetness with red-berry juiciness and a soft floral lift. It might remind you of ripe tangerine, wild raspberry jam, and a gentle orange-blossom aroma, carried by a light, silky body and a bright but composed finish.
