Chrome Yellow partnered with Finca Las Nubes in the heart of the Huila region to bring Las Nubes Washed to your cup. This lot was grown at about 1775 meters and processed with a Washed method to emphasize clarity and sweetness in the cup. The coffee comes from a single estate where Claudia Samboni helps shape the farming and processing network behind Aromas del Sur, offering a glimpse into a tight knit producer family working at high elevation. The terroir of Huila lends a bright, clean cup and the Washed process further clarifies the sweetness while preserving delicate aromatics. At this elevation, cherries ripen with a slower pace, allowing nuanced fruit and floral notes to develop before careful washing and drying refine the final profile. It tastes like orange zest, floral brightness, and caramel sweetness according to the roaster notes. The cup may remind you of citrus-led brightness balanced by gentle sweetness and a crisp finish, making it an approachable but characterful Colombian coffee. Chromed by a refined acidity and a balanced body, this lot is suited for clean, at-home brewing so you can explore its clarity. Pair it with citrus pastries or a light breakfast to highlight the fruit and floral accents while keeping the sweetness in balance.
