Hydrangea Coffee Roasters partnered with Rodrigo Sanchez of Finca Monteblanco to craft Purple Caturra with a Passionfruit Coferment Washed profile. Sitting at 1730 meters above sea level, this lot comes from a region in Colombia known for bright, fruit-forward coffees. The combination of a washed base with a passionfruit cofermentation gives the cup a clean clarity while introducing a lively tropical lift that challenges the perception of a traditional washed coffee. The roaster frames this as a thoughtful exploration of how fermentation can interact with high-altitude terroir to reveal nuance in sweetness and acidity.
