Metric Coffee partnered with Carlos Esteban Cortes to present a washed red caturra from the high altitude terroir of Nariño. Grown at 2,150 meters, this lot expresses a fruit-forward sweetness with clarity and liveliness that comes from careful, traditional farming and deliberate cherry selection. The roaster sees this as a coffee that speaks plainly and confidently about its origin, yet remains approachable for curious home brewers. The Washed processing method is central to how this cup is built.
Process
By removing mucilage and drying with precision, the cup gains brightness, structure, and a clean finish that lets the origin shine through.
